Take Action!

G.a.g cannot stress enough the importance of writing to or emailing the representatives below. This is definately not a 'done deal' you can make a difference, every email and letter counts. Below is an example letter which can be used as a guide but it is much more preferable to use your own words... and please don't hold back !! There is no email form or direct email for Ms Kelly at the moment only a general email contact for her new department.

You can also print off a poster and stick it in your window or car to show your public support, and also heres a poster to advertise the g.a.g public meeting dates in Kingswood and Lee Chapel South. We are also looking for volunteers to help man a stall, petition or deliver leaflets please contact us if you think you will be able to help out now or in the future.

Dear………..

As a resident of (town) I wish to express my whole hearted opposition to the development of the Land North of Dry Street, as outlined in the proposals recently issued by English Partnerships.

I firmly believe that, because Basildon needs all its green open spaces this land should not be developed and should remain as open space, in order to protect it for the enjoyment of current and future generations of local people.

I would therefore ask you as my M.P. / Leader of the Council / my local councillor to do what you can to save this land from development.

Yours Sincerely,
